Launching VFX.ai

July 15, 2026

After a year of beta, the Studio is opening up. Here is what shipped, what broke, and where the engine is going next.

It has been a long road from the first shader test to the public launch. We started VFX.ai because we kept shipping framed art out of Photoshop and wanted a faster pipeline. A year later, the engine generates perspective-accurate 3D passes from a flat PNG, pre-scales them to 300 DPI, and pushes them straight to POD.

This post walks through what shipped at launch, what we cut, and the rendering improvements lined up for the next release. If you only have a minute: the Studio tier now includes unlimited reruns, the print bundle ships at four standard sizes, and the catalog route is open for sellers who want to list their own prints.
